My name is Kitasha (Kia) Martin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, CA-LCS 22861. I utilize supportive techniques to meet clients where they are and walk with them on the journey to healing. I support clients in addressing challenges with anger, depression, life transitions, adjustment to stressors, and conflicts within family of origin. My target population is aged 18+. I have experience in providing therapy utilizing Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches to support patients and assist them with developing more control over their mental and emotional environments.
I work with each client to develop a virtual Therapy Room that is safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental. I create a special holding space for the client that is nurturing and yet also challenging to client's core beliefs, unhelpful thought patterns, attitudes, and the narratives they devise, to walk them through the trauma or challenges they face.
