I consider it a privilege and am passionate about helping others uncover their own hope, receive healing, and grow to their full potential. I enjoy working alongside individuals, couples, and families collaboratively to help them reach their goals. I believe the foundation of effective counseling is taking in the uniqueness of each individual or family and building a strong therapeutic environment where it is a safe place to be authentic and honest about struggles. I've worked with individuals and families of all ages going through personal and relational conflict.
VVC provides unique opportunities to help meet the unique needs of clients. This includes development of outdoor sessions in our gated area, of wilderness and equine programs, and co-therapy where two clinicians can assist a case (good for couples or families). We promote holistic care with opportunities for nutrition education for mental health.
A unique fact about me is that I'm a finisher of the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail (2018). I connect my own life experience as a series of mountain ranges. Though we can't stay on the mountaintops forever, I believe we can learn to traverse the valleys.
