My approaches and insights are adaptable for the age, cultural, and spiritual identity of the person or "persons" sitting in front of me.
Children express themselves in a different language therefore I use other means of expression such as play therapy, artistic expression, and family focused approaches in my work with children. In addition, I also provide couples counseling, and EMDR treatment for PTSD in children and adults.

Teen Anxiety Group
The Sankofa Teen Anxiety group will begin on Monday June 5th. This is a closed, in person group, with a specific start (June 5) & end date (August 7) and according to a specific pre-planned sequence of treatment modules presented each week. Because each week builds on information presented during previous weeks, participants must commit to the entire 10-week sequence. Participants can expect to learn: How to recognize thought patterns and how our thoughts contribute to anxiety Techniques to help cope with anxiety and disturbing thoughts. To identify, share, and connect with other teens with similar needs.
