Keys Gate Wellness Associates, LLC's Groups
Bereavement
Each of us mourns the death of a loved one differently. While some people attempt to cope with their grief by themselves and do not want or need outside assistance, many others seek and find comfort in sharing the pain, anger, depression and other emotions they feel following a loss. Our bereavement groups are evidence based. Dr. Santana Sparber is a certified traumatologist, that has conducted extensive research in the area of bereavement. She also developed Nicklaus Children's Hospital bereavement program.
Social Skills
Social skills groups are different than a traditional play-date or peer-based hangout - they are a supervised therapeutic event where the goal is to help children/adolescents gain skills in social interaction. Our social skills groups are targeted to specific age groups and are interactive and hands on. We leave the office and engage in real life situation social skills learning. Parent participation required.
Social Anxiety
Our successful social anxiety therapy groups follow the guidelines established by years of consistent research about social anxiety. While individual appointments can help a person make progress with cognitive therapy, a group of people is needed to help people make behavioral progress. Our group is composed ONLY of people with a diagnosable case of social anxiety disorder. Run by an experienced group leader who understands how to move people ahead in the appropriate manner.
