Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I love my work as a therapist because it allows me to truly listen to others and understand their unique experience. I believe this is absolutely key to success in therapy. It starts with compassionate understanding, and I pride myself on making every client feel that I "get" them. After that, my objective is to assist people in setting and achieving their goals. Here are some common goals that I work on with clients: improving relationships, reducing conflict, improving self-image, becoming more confident, grieving a loss, reducing depression or anxiety, resolving past trauma, etc.
Rather than adhering to one specific school of thought, I utilize an integrative approach that carefully and thoughtfully selects from several useful models. This integrative model provides many methods to achieve one’s goals in therapy: emotional work, improved communication, personal exploration, psychological awareness, education, and behavioral changes.
