Years ago, I visited Ghana where I was introduced to a symbol called the “Sankofa.” Sankofa translates to “go back and fetch,” and reflects the idea that the past often holds lost strength and wisdom. That message has always stayed with me. A lot of us learn to push through pain, keep things to ourselves, and survive without ever really having space to process what we’ve been through. But what if the experiences that hurt us no longer felt unbearable? What if they could also become sources of clarity or growth?
I specialize in working with individuals navigating PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration. My clinical work integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My style is down-to-earth, conversational, and genuine. While therapy can involve deep work, I don’t believe it always has to feel clinical or overly serious. I use evidence-based approaches while creating a space where people can show up as themselves, feel understood, and work toward real change at their own pace.
