My passion is helping others heal and gain insight into the issues that they are experiencing. I practice a person centered approach as I believe that we tend to be our own best experts. I emphasize a collaborative style during session to help you progress towards you goals. Personal growth and healing does not have to be something that is an abstract concept, but rather can be a possibility. It helps to have someone who is unbiased and is present to help you navigate life’s challenges and traumas. I also feel passionate about working with adolescents as they navigate the complexities of the transition from youth to adulthood.
I work with youth and adults of all ages & trained in a variety of clinical approaches to include EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray and Play Therapy. I have experience working with trauma, specifically that of the military and first responders. As a veteran and former police officer, I find it incredibly rewarding to work with fellow comrades.
I feel that sometimes we have a tendency to ignore our own needs in order to remain focused on the tasks of the day. We need to make time for ourselves but need a direction. I look forward to helping you find that direction.
