Hi, I’m Kevin Orpurt. I am an LCSW working with clients in Massachusetts via telehealth. I have a broad base of experience, but I work primarily with adolescents and adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, transition issues and grief, using a solution focused approach grounded in CBT and Mindfulness. I also have extensive experience working with athletes and those working in athletic settings. While I have a causal, nonjudgmental approach to therapy, I also believe people often need additional tools in their lives.
Therefore, I try to strike a balance between compassionate listening and a solution focused approach. Our focus will be on your present, but we will safely explore the past when it is impacting the present. The combination of specialties will allow you to both gain insight into your experience and make positive changes in your life.
I genuinely enjoy people of all ages and am fascinated by the endless variety of people, culture and experience. Therefore, I prefer a broad caseload ranging from adolescents to older adults. I have a particular interest in helping people with anxiety, depression, grief, and life transition issues.
