About
I enjoy working with adults in individual and/or couples psychotherapy and/or spiritual direction. I assist clients in walking through struggles and seeing things from a new perspective. I believe the answers exist within my clients. My practice focus includes: Addictions, Co-Dependence, Eating Disorders, Chemical Dependence, Sexual Trauma Survivors, Men and Women Infected with HIV, Spiritual Direction, Grief, Individuals Managing others with Dementia and/or Alzheimer's Disease, Dissociative Disorders, Personality Disorders, Thought Disorders (Schizoaffective), Mood disorders (Bipolar) and Individuals Recovering from Past Traumas.
With over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings including a dual diagnosis program within a hospital environment, managing an acute psychiatric unit and years of individualized psychotherapy, my vocation lies in assisting people in their recovery from addictions, grief and traumas.
Treatment involves a holistic approach including focusing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. I use a synthesis of psychodynamic assessment, ego-supportive object-relations, psychospiritual, family systems, internal family systems, behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapies.
