About
Building upon almost 20 years of pastoral counseling to couples and individuals, I pursued additional study culminating in a Master of Science in Social Work from the Kent School at the University of Louisville. Since receiving that degree, I have gained valuable experience as a therapist in community mental health programs, in private therapy with residents of local long term care facilities, and as an administrator at Franciscan Healthcare Center. My experience with the elderly and their families provides a unique perspective into the dynamics of family relationships.
A compassionate listener, I believe my strength lies in helping others discern direction in their lives. Others say that I work from a calm, grounded center as I provide guidance to those seeking emotional well-being. My encouraging, client-centered approach is focused on bringing clarity and peace.
Spirituality has long been an interest. I have been a spiritual director and supervisor for more than 25 years. Most recently, I have presented Spirituality of Aging seminars at local churches. Should a client wish to pursue therapy from a spiritual perspective, I am comfortable with such an approach.
