Hi! I'm Kevin Flynn, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience helping people overcome anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, and major mental illness. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and good old-fashioned listening skills to help you feel understood and to more fully understand yourself. I'm familiar with 12-Step Recovery, psychiatric medications, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other approaches to helping others.
I work with adults of all ages and gender identifications. My best skill set involves helping others to overcome addiction, but I'm also proficient at treating mood disorders and major mental illnesses.
I'll listen to just about anything you have to say and will almost never tell you what to do. I offer genuine empathy, reflective listening, acceptance, and a non-judgmental stance toward all. I set goals jointly with my clients. I encourage my clients to develop realistic, measurable, and attainable goals.
