Currently accepting new clients. Life can be complicated: relationships, family, work, school. Our lives are further challenged by the unique aspects of our times. We are under constant bombardment of information, straining our ability to focus and compartmentalize. Factors such as trauma, shame and guilt further complicate things. My approach is to help clients become the objective observer of their experience. This means helping people untangle their thoughts, pressures and feelings, while learning how to recognize, manage and alleviate the symptoms and behaviors that are causing distress.
I work with adults who need help and guidance managing the challenges of modern life. My primary modalities are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Practice and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). DBT for identifying problematic behaviors, Mindfulness for addressing thought-based distress and EMDR for Trauma and its effects.
I believe that relief from mental and emotional un-wellness are available to all who seek it. Awakening to a new human experience, where we learn how to flow with life's challenges rather than be overwhelmed by them is achievable.
