My ideal client is one that is open to the possibility of growth. They will have a commitment to face the complications of life and to consider new strategies. Additionally, they will face their problems with respect and determination to navigate through difficulties as the basis for moving toward long-lasting change. In my 20 years of experience, I have helped many individuals as they deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss as well as relationship issues.
Through respectful collaboration with clients we explore everyday life stressors and discovering internal solutions that can create the foundation for treatment and development. We process each clients' unique story and identify strengths, balance, untapped skills, and resources that will often be the elements needed for lasting growth.
My approach always begins with a client centered philosophy. I seek to connect with clients through creating a safe environment that encourages barrier free communication. I am trained in CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Prolonged Exposure as well as various mindfulness techniques that often result in an integrative approach throughout the treatment process.
