I have provided individual, couples, and family therapy for over twenty years. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with trauma and behavior issues including school difficulties, delinquent behaviors, emotional problems and relationship issues including problems within the family. I work with parents to learn the skills necessary to successfully intervene with their adolescent. I believe that a short-term, intensive intervention can be very successful.
I specialize in therapy using a solution-focused approach. I believe that everyone has experienced successes in addressing their concern and that the goal of therapy is to highlight and build upon these successes. I use variety of proven methods to remove barriers that prevent clients from achieving their goal.
I have specialized training in a model that emphasizes a strength-based, community focused, and research proven approach that stresses family therapy and parent training. I also have specialized training in the treatment of trauma using EMDR and the treatment of associated concerns such as self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and addiction.
