Behavior Analysis is a powerful science based modality that examines the behaviors that we all engage in on a daily basis. Being rooted deeply in science, that means we leave dreams and horoscopes at the door. Treatment is focused and purposeful, addressing both behavioral deficits and/or excesses. I offer specialization specifically in sexual behaviors (low desire, infidelity, impulse control etc). Clients will be asked to take data, which helps to ensure progress towards goals, and ensures skills developed in sessions are generalized outside of sessions, allowing you to be able to live your best life, even when services end.

I believe that human beings have an incredible capacity to adapt to extremely difficult situations, but sometimes using old coping strategies can encourage toxic situations at home or at work. When the tendency to accommodate others and the desire for approval goes unchecked, we betray our authentic sense of self and undermine our success. This is particularly true with adults suffering from symptoms related to childhood trauma, addiction, and those who have had to "mask" due to neurodivergent experience. Using evidenced based treatment, I work with adults and couples to create their best lives.

Sometimes, events in our lives leave us feeling stuck, helpless, abandoned and alone. At times, emotions can overwhelm us giving us the impression we have no control over those feelings or the world surrounding us. I am passionate about helping people get to the root of the problem one session at a time. I understand every person is different and there is no one size fits all approach to healing. I will work with you in a compassionate and nonjudgmental manner.

Life can be difficult, overwhelming, and unfair at times. This is why finding the right person to help you is crucial. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marysol Rezanov, can offer you all of this.

After many years of seeing clients, I have understood that a therapist's role is to encourage action by fostering one's belief in self, others, and the world; courage; and realistic goals. Through these actions, I've come to believe that clients will eventually free themselves of the handcuffs that affect their mental well-being. My goal is to be a catalyst for change.

We can transform adversity into meaningful experiences that help us grow and evolve into who we are meant to be. My hope is to support you along the path to living a meaningful life. Areas of focus may include self-empowerment, restoring healthy boundaries, increasing self-compassion, decreasing the critical internal voice, and in some cases, identifying the signs and symptoms which manifest when in a relationship with a narcissistic personality disordered partner.

My area of specialty is working with women with anxiety and stress-management. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Working together, we will discuss the goals you would like to accomplish in therapy and take the necessary steps to achieve your goals. I typically assign activities between scheduled sessions, that we can discuss during the following session. I have found clients enjoy having resources outside of being in session. I have also found providing telehealth (video) therapy, to be very beneficial for clients.

FREE 15 minute phone consultation. If you're struggling with stressful relationships, a dysfunctional past, anxiety, sadness, impossible life circumstances, or unhealthy coping, I would be honored to work with you. Seeing a psychologist for help with your personal struggles is a courageous step, especially if you've never seen a therapist before. Therapy can be hard work. It can mean facing yourself and your emotions in a very real way, but it can also mean growing in ways you didn't think possible before. In my practice YOU are the focus, not your problem.

You want to start therapy but the thought of sharing your most personal experiences and challenges with a stranger feels... well, strange, right? I get it! Let me start by first commending you on coming this far in your healing; looking for a therapist. You're here because you want things to change, you want to process the experiences that have brought you to who you are today (maybe you aren't particularly proud of some of them), or maybe you just want to explore how to become the best version of yourself possible. Achieving all of those goals began the moment you decided to seek out an outside perspective w/ a professional.

If you could bring your loved ones into a safe environment to work on all the issues that have been talked about in your family but never addressed openly, would you do it? Now is your chance to work through the problems from childhood that have hindered your self-esteem and kept you from excelling in life. Together we will figure out where you became stuck during the developmental years with your family-of-origin and begin addressing the barriers you face today because of these past challenges.

For many, one of the hardest things to do is ask for help. Now, more than ever, people may need assistance due to the everyday stresses of life. Sometimes people are simply looking to gain more self-awareness and to grow emotionally. Whatever your reason, you are taking the first step by considering therapy. My goal is to help you in the process of going from where you are to where you want to be, at your pace.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in Las Vegas?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
