I have a passion to help all, but especially those struggling with behavioral issues and trauma. I understands the importance of getting ahead of behavioral issues in children and adolescents before they face legal consequences. I understand the importance of counseling following trauma. I could go on and on about the research backing the need for counseling in trauma. Behavioral issues are often rooted with some sort of trauma. I love helping others find their confidence, safety and mental health baseline.
I use an eclectic modality with a focus on person centered therapeutic relationships. I use a variety of interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, positive psychology and more. I adjust the interventions to the client's needs.
I am a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider qualification in the state of Tennessee. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (AADC). I have a bachelors of science in forensic psychology and a masters in forensic psychology with counseling.
