About

I am not accepting new clients at this time. You are an entrepreneur and an executive. You want to be the best version of yourself and you aren’t right now. You’re stressed, out of balance, working too much or without focus. Your relationships are suffering…you want to improve them but aren’t sure how.
I’m Dr. Kerry Makin-Byrd, a psychologist and expert in human behavior and communication (creds on my website). I’m science based and purpose driven. For over 15 years, I’ve been helping leaders in Silicon Valley and Denver cultivate the boldest, most effective version of themselves.
Things are hard now. Take heart. Pain times reflection equal growth (thanks Ray Dalio). Fruitful reflection benefits from expertise in human behavior and a reliable, independent observer; that's me. If this sounds interesting, let's chat.

Compassion Cultivation Training

Beginning 4/1/19. Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT), developed at Stanford University, is an eight-week program designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy, and kindness for oneself and for others. CCT integrates traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. Preliminary research suggests that CCT and similar programs can increase self-compassion and self-care, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and enhance connection with others. The cost of the compassion cultivation training is $395 for the 8 week, 16 hour class. This translates to about $25 per an hour.
