Does your child have a chronic illness? Have they endured pain, hospital stays, surgeries, or other difficult treatments? Your child may be experiencing difficulty coping, difficulty with school or social situations, poor body image, anxiety and depression. Your child has a variety of emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral, and physical health needs to consider. Please know that seeking help for their mental health does not mean something is wrong with them. It provides added strength to help them achieve everyday goals while managing their illness.
I have worked with children with chronic illness for over 5 years and it is my passion. My approach to therapy is collaborative. I partner with the child to assist them in developing the skills and tools they need to work through their negative thoughts and think differently. Bottom line is I have the skillset, but they are the experts in themselves.
I want you to first know that I am here for your child. My hope is that l can empower your child and support them in their journey. I listen without judgment, provide a safe space and encourage them. I provide therapy virtually in North and South Carolina. I am happy to speak with you and/or your child briefly to see if I am the right fit!
