I am an experienced therapist offering counseling to individuals and couples. I provide a professional, relaxed environment in which clients will receive honest feedback and support surrounding their life stressors. I enjoy supporting clients in all phases of life transitions as they embark on a journey of increased health and well-being. I am certified in EMDR, as well as a specialist in perinatal mental health. I am also trained in Brainspotting. Using these approaches, as well as talk therapy, can truly help clients process the root issues related to current stressors.
I have extensive training in the Gottman Method of couples therapy and enjoy using these principles as well as my understanding of how trauma impacts relationships to help couples and families meet their fullest potential. I have a particular interest in helping individuals and couples in the perinatal period and when needed, with coping with related trauma.
I am an approved clinical supervisor for LPC Residents in Counseling in the state of Virginia and have helped many become licensed over the past ten years. I belief the counselor-client relationship "fit" is the most important aspect of therapy and I would be happy to speak with your or set up a consultation to help you determine if I would be a good fit.
