Welcome! My practice is open during early EVENING hours to accommodate after school schedules. I have been fortunate to have 19 years of counseling experience in both the school setting and the private sector, working with children ranging in ages 5-18, adults, and with families. While working with children and adolescents, I believe that the family dynamic is an extremely important part of the therapeutic process, and will often involve parents and siblings in therapy when it is helpful. I specialize in: anxiety disorders and OCD, depression, divorce, parenting support, self esteem, family dysfunction, and school related issues.
I use a variety of techniques in counseling my clients, and the type of therapy will depend on the age and needs of the client. The types of approaches may vary from Play Therapy for young clients, to CBT alongside Solution Focused techniques for adolescent and adult clients. I specialize in anxiety disorders & OCD w/ Exposure Response Prevention Therapy.
My goal for my clients is to help them move past difficulties, and to create realistic solutions for them to use when needed. I meet clients where they are, and encourage them to be the best version of themselves- to be happy and successful with themselves, their families, connections, and environments (home, school, workplaces).
