My journey towards becoming a substance abuse counselor is rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals reclaim their lives from the grip of addiction. I believe that every person has a capacity for change, and it is my goal to support, guide, and empower individuals as they work toward recovering and healing.
Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of working closely with young men and women who have experienced significant trauma, including abuse, neglect, and complex family dynamics. Many of these men and women turned to substance use as a means of coping with emotional pain and unresolved trauma.
I am passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. I understand the substance abuse is often a symptom of deeper emotional wounds, and I strive to address these root causes holistically. My approach is client centered, blending evidence based practices such as motivational interviewing, with empathy.
My ultimate goal is to help individuals not only overcome addiction, but also rebuild their lives with purpose and self-worth. I’m committed to ongoing growth, professional development, and advocating for those affected by addiction and trauma, I’m ready to walk along side individuals on their path to recovery, offering unwavering support, and hope.
