About
You, or perhaps someone close to you, may have been struggling with a problem for some time and now have made the decision to seek professional assistance. This step comes neither easily nor comfortably. Feelings of apprehension, reluctance, and ambivalence are normal. Contrary to any self-talk that seeking help is a "sign of weakness", it is just the opposite. Engaging in therapeutic change is a bold and courageous act. I welcome hearing from you and will gladly discuss any matter of concern confidentially.
Specializations include depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, ADHD, grief counseling, developmental disabilities and career change. Critical incident/crisis counseling is available, having provided services on 9/11 for an international corporation. While the majority of my clients are adolescents and adults, I do meet with younger people. I likewise provide couples counseling.
With the goal of helping people become healthier and valuing their right of self-determination, I utilize a client-centered approach to treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when needed. Evening appointments are available and my office is centrally located with easy access to major highways. Assistance utilizing insurance coverage is provided.
