I offer services for adults struggling with difficult family dynamics, interpersonal conflicts, and self-esteem issues. The emotional experiences you encounter can be shaped by your upbringing and relational history. My role as your therapist is to help you rediscover important parts of yourself, gain more emotional flexibility, and facilitate change to your current circumstances. I specialize in working with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, loneliness, lack of self-care, and history of trauma and abuse. I connect with my patients in a warm and steady manner, establishing trust for our work together.
I also work with adolescents who are experiencing emotional difficulties. They may be acting out feelings of irritability, finding it hard to communicate with parents, or withdrawing from social situations. My task is to provide a relationship and a model for their development as they learn how to express their emotions.
Lastly, I have extensive experience in working with Asian and Asian-American folks who are burdened by history of immigration, cultural family dynamics, and identity.
