I am a substance abuse and mental health counselor, who genuinely enjoys working with people. I believe almost all people who suffer with an addiction have an underlying mental health issue, trauma, depression, anxiety and low self esteem. I understand that addiction renders you powerless and in many cases extreme embarrassment. Mental health issues can be equally disabling and embarrassing. I can help you, no shame, embarrassment, just understanding and guidance as you move along your path of recovery. In some cases medication may be recommended and I work with three established Nurse Practitioners who accept referrals.
Recovery is possible and I ask that you believe in me until you begin to see and feel the serenity. Cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, ACT are evidenced base therapies I use to guide you in your recovery and you are the person who controls this process.
Many people move in and out of therapy as their need dictates. Trust is essential in any therapeutic relationship and we are very guarded about what we say and how we say it. I practice the highest levels of confidentially to HIPPA regulations.
