I’m Kennedy M. Sabelko, a master’s level clinical therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health and educational fields. My passion for helping others improve their quality of life comes from my personal, clinical, and cultural experiences.
My work focuses on helping individuals recognize irrational or negative thoughts and beliefs—also known as cognitive distortions—and understand how these patterns influence emotions like irritability, frustration, anger, anxiety, or depression. These emotions often lead to maladaptive behaviors, and my goal is to help clients break that cycle.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to teach coping strategies that reduce and manage negative thinking patterns. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support clients in developing emotional regulation, healthy assertive communication, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
