I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Master’s of Social Work degree. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress. I have the most experience treating complex traumas, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anger issues, relationship issues, family conflict, and stress.
I believe in working side by side with my clients. I think the key component of the therapeutic relationship is transparency and communication. The therapeutic relationship is a journey in which you are the expert at your own life, and I am your mentor & guide.
I believe in empowering you to make changes. My approach is to use the healthy environment of the therapeutic setting to instill better habits through coping skills and psychoeducation tailored to your needs. Theoretical practices and themes I root my practice in are Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused, Narrative Theory, and Psychotherapy.
