Kendra C. Roberson
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, PhD, LCSW-S, RYT
Are you suffering from the effects of past trauma? Do you get triggered in otherwise neutral situations or repeat negative behavior patterns? Do you find yourself unhappy and unsatisfied, while those around you seem to be prospering? This may be connected to your past experiences. Perhaps it's time to explore this. This mental health practice centers on healing from the aftermath of trauma, and exploring ways your childhood influences you as an adult. We can process past trauma or focus on here and now with a goal of feeling less sadness and less fear. Maybe now is the time. *Video sessions available in Texas and Washington State.
I treat adults emphasizing use of a thorough bio-psycho-social-cultural assessment to have a clear sense of one's strengths and challenges. Treatment may be limited to traditional talk therapy or can include EMDR, meditation or Reiki. We may also enlist the use of other treatments specifically designed to help recover from trauma.
My intervention methods are evidence-informed, solution-focused and culturally congruent. I consider childhood issues, attachment to family of origin and past or current trauma as important issues to explore in the context of a therapeutic relationship. Emphasis is on healing from your past. Supervision and consultation for Social Workers also available.
