I offer therapy that is person-centered and rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and somatic healing to address problems including depression, anxiety, addiction, self-harm behaviors, perfectionism, and chronic stress. I incorporate mindfulness and somatic coping strategies in sessions as a way of teaching clients to become more in tune with the connection between their body and mind.
When a nervous system is overly responsive, mindfulness and somatic techniques can be helpful in helping you to learn how to better regulate emotions and anxiety levels. I also challenge and encourage my clients to examine in session the ways in which they talk to and approach themselves and their emotions and how to unlearn any unhelpful patterns.
