I have worked as a personal counselor since 1986 and as a licensed clinical social worker since 2004. When working with me, you can expect understanding, respect, honest feedback, and, often, mutual laughter as we grapple with the human condition. Together we will focus on the issues at hand, work to understand the history and causes behind them, then implement action steps to help bring about the changes you're looking for. Most clients, whether individuals or couples, see me for six to eight weekly sessions, moving to less and less frequent sessions as their confidence and life satisfaction increases.
My specialties include the treatment of anxiety and depression arising out of relationship issues- whether they be family-of-origin, current nuclear family, or partner/spouse. With 32 years of experience as a personal counselor in public high schools, I also specialize in issues arising out of adolescence and the transition to young adulthood.
