Everyone can enjoy a satisfying life of love, work and play. However, we may find ourselves in personal patterns, relationships, or with life issues that keep us from living to our fullest. Though circumstances and illness are difficult, our manner of dealing with them determines whether we are happy or sad, engaged or depressed, relaxed or anxious, and even feeling physically unwell or healthy. Trauma and poor coping are often related to our past desperate attempts to take care of ourselves in difficult situations. I work through our therapy relationship, not thru a set of techniques. You provide the direction for change, what you consciously bring to each session, and what emerges spontaneously between us. We seek to understand your outside life and relationships, as well as your inner life and relationship with yourself.
I work relationally and psychodynamically with 10+ years of experience and have completed a second doctorate, in Psychoanalysis. I bring a wealth of life experience to psychotherapy from working as an Electrical Engineer building spacecraft for NASA, as a Psychologist/Psychoanalyst, and as an Entrepreneur. I work to towards integration.
