People come to therapy for emotional support and seek practical solutions to the very real issues in their lives. I recognize that my clients need to work thru the emotion connected to their circumstances and are also very much looking for a fresh perspective, based in experience and professional training, to help them determine what they can do about it. I work to help my clients find solutions whenever possible & develop effective ways to cope with the impact of those things they can't change. I take an approach to counseling that is practical and goal oriented and have a style that both men and women can connect with.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I work with individuals and couples, as well as, teenage boys and their families. I have post-graduate training and years of experience working with individual issues and I've completed Level 1 & 2 of Gottman's Couple's therapy approach and have extensive, ongoing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training.
I actively work with my clients to provide a secure place where they can confidently work thru life's challenges on the path to living the best version of themselves & succeed in the face of those challenges. I help them restore the relationships that bring meaning to their lives, to recover & heal from life's struggles & ultimately thrive whenever possible.
