I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with twenty-four years of private practice experience. I bring my clinical and personal experience into the counseling process to strengthen, encourage, and challenge each individual to be their very best no matter what the circumstances in life may be. Five years ago, a major medical emergency left me paralyzed and close to death. I survived and learned to live my life to the fullest, albeit from a wheelchair. That experience and doing life from a wheelchair gives me a unique perspective in helping others cope with trauma and loss.
Having gone through my own life changing trauma, I understand what it means to have your life altered, to go through pain, loss and the grieving process. I can help the individual pick up the pieces and move forward with real emotional healing. My strong Christian perspective allows clients to explore their own faith related to the events in their lives.
You do not always have control over the events that happen in your life, but you do have control over how you will respond to those events. I will walk with you through the process of change in order to use those events to strengthen you and give you hope for the future. Whether the trauma is personal or with someone close to you.
