I work mostly with queer, gender expansive, and other LGBTQIA+ adults who are struggling with anxiety and the impacts of trauma. I help people better understand their emotional and physical responses to anxiety, explore and heal wounds, and find ways to better connect with their personal values and well being. People I work with understand that change rarely happens overnight, and also understand why doing the work is worthwhile in order to connect with and create more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
I approach mental health concerns in a somatic and holistic way. My goal is to help you understand how the many aspects of your life and the world around you might be impacting your mental and emotional well being. Together we can then determine personal changes, skills, and healing that will allow you to find a sense of grounding in your life.
I am a queer, non-binary, white therapist. I believe that every individual already possesses knowledge and truths that, when accessed, allow them to connect to a sense of inner confidence, grounding, and joy in their lives, even in the midst of difficulties. Clients might best describe me as warm, genuine, and open minded.
