Through the stress of everyday life, so many of us have learned to put our needs aside. Often, we ignore them in the service of others, overwhelm, or simply not knowing how to nurture ourselves. By building self-compassion and awareness, I work with clients to help them listen to their minds and bodies. Clients can learn to bring themselves back into alignment, finding peace along the way. Past trauma frequently yields inner beliefs about one’s self and the world that clients are not aware of. Through various techniques that use the body’s own natural processes, I work with clients to allow their minds and bodies to heal themselves.
I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensatization and Reprocessing (EDMR) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), using numerous biofeedback techniques in my work. I often integrate schema therapy into treatment and am additionally trained to provide dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
It is always a privilege to work with clients and hear their unique stories. I value a strong therapeutic alliance and know that sometimes you just need to know there is someone there with you. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to do this work, thus it is always my priority to maintain an environment of compassion and respect.
