I work with high-achievers and helpers who quietly carry burdens and face emotional challenges like anxiety, stress, depression, and loss. My clients are teens and adults who are often accustomed to supporting others and excelling in challenging environments yet find themselves in need of a space where they, too, can process their inner struggles. I have worked with athletes, students, and young helping professionals like teachers, nurses, resident doctors, counselors, and social workers.
My style of therapy will feel warm, understanding, and some-what casual. I desire for you to have a space where you can "just be". While assessment is a valuable aspect of therapy, judgments about your performance and risk related to loss of "playing time" or loss of job will be absent. This is your safe space.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation that will allow me to expand on my approach & help you feel fully informed before scheduling your first session. Counseling is an investment & often something people hope will better their life in some way. I know it is important for you to find the best fit & want to support you in doing so, even if it's not me!
