Childhood and adolescence can be a scary time for all people involved: the youth, their parents and siblings, their friends, even their teachers. Changing relationships, differing opinions, and creeping self-doubt can bring anxiety, fear, depression, and more. I am here to work with both youth and adults who struggle with these challenges and want to break down the barriers to make change. We don’t just want to find the light at the end of the tunnel, but find the light within.
I have worked throughout my career to help bring psychoeducation and evidence-based treatment modalities to help stabilize and empower families. I come from a strengths-based approach to help ensure a positive relationship with my clients so that the ideal amount of growth can be achieved.
Therapy is not about making life perfect, as much as we may want that to be the case. It’s about finding peace in the imperfections and turning them in to their own strengths.
