The time has come to believe in yourself and your true potential. As an attachment-focused therapist, I believe that a warm, trusting relationship is what heals us. I enjoy working with teens and adults, especially when making life transitions and big decisions. Clients who choose to work with me are often unpacking the effects of traumas (big or small), family dynamics (including separation), "anxiety", OCD, women’s issues, intellectualization, or stage of life struggles. I have a special interest in working with perfectionism, even in children. I am an LGBTQ affirming counselor, passionate about creativity and spirituality.
My clients will learn mindfulness-based approaches to ground in the present reality of the body and quiet the mind for clarity; the mind-body connection deeply influences my practice. When making decisions, being grounded in the present helps us be the people we hope to be in the future, while allowing us to look more kindly back on our past selves.
I believe all people are trying their best to show up as themselves authentically. I try to be a human on a journey with my client, letting them be the expert of their own life story. In this way, you are the author and I am the reader. Together, we can edit and clarify meaning.
