About
Kelly Thoene is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Specialist with more than 20 of experience specializing in trauma (PTSD), depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood dysregulation (Bipolar), behavior management difficulties (ODD, Conduct Disorder and DBD), substance abuse, gender dysphoria and LGBQT+ issues. Kelly Thoene has experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups in inpatient, residential, day treatments, intensive outpatient, schools and outpatient settings.
Kelly is well versed in both traditional therapeutic techniques as well as creative modalities such as expressive therapies, play therapy and guided imagery. Kelly enjoys spending time with husband, daughter, family and friends. She also loves reading, being outdoors, road biking, exercising, camping, fishing, rafting and baking.
Kelly has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver in Colorado. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology from Muskingum College in Ohio. In addition, Kelly had special certifications in Special Education and Early Childhood Education.
