As a biracial Black clinician, I see people from a variety of backgrounds but predominately help Christian women of color heal from family wounds and social trauma by creating a safe space that allows you to be your genuine self while feeling heard and validated. This virtual, support group for Black, Christian women, focuses on the beauty and challenges of menopause. Some group members will be in the beginning stages of menopause, called peri-menopause, while other women will have passed through the brunt of the transition yet need to process what has happened to their health and their bodies, careers and relationships. Other women will be preparing for hysterectomies while many may be in the throws of managing a more severe side of surgically induced menopause. This group was formed to provide access, awareness, connectivity and a safe, hopeful space for emotional processing.
