With 20 years of experience, I specialize in treating grief and trauma. These experiences leave us feeling so devastated and alone, angry and afraid. Helping people feel safe enough to be with these feelings in the presence of another is the true art of therapy. I enjoy creating a place where my clients feel comfortable being who they are. Therapy is one of those things you do for you. It's as essential as eating well and getting regular exercise. As your therapist, I will guide you through the process of exploring your thoughts and feelings. We'll discover what's getting in the way of the life you want for yourself.
I'm EMDR certified & IFS level 1 trained by the IFS institute. I offer training for other clinicians as a senior trainer for Deb Dana's Polyvagal Rhythm of Regulation foundations course. I am a level 2 NARM therapist, & I'm currently working on becoming a NARM Master Therapist. NARM stands for Neuro Affective Relational Model, which treats childhood trauma.
NARM offers a somatic and psychodynamic approach for treatment that is highly relational. Lastly, I'm a certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) provider, which is an auditory intervention involving the use of filtered music to regulate the autonomic nervous system. Lastly, I serve as the clinical consultant to the Center for Grieving Children, Sanford, ME.
