Hi there, I'm Kelly. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy, and I strive to meet my clients where they are at. I use strength-based, egalitarian, and person-centered approaches and believe in the major importance of creating a safe and shared space in which everyone can feel open to explore all aspects of themselves. Being vulnerable is not easy, and I acknowledge the strength and guts it takes to make that first step toward change.
I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those who have experienced trauma in their lives (both big T and little t). Symptoms of which can show up as depression, anxiety, negative thinking patterns, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships. I offer an empathetic and individualized approach to interventions with clients.
I believe in the framework of therapist and client as co-explorers and that no one is meant to figure it out on their own. Examining negative core-beliefs, becoming curious about our own thinking, exploring our interpersonal relationships and cultivating a strong therapeutic bond are major components of my work with clients.
