Whatever you're currently struggling with: interpersonal issues, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, an existential or spiritual crisis, or simply work or school stress, I’m here to meet you where you’re at with compassion, patience, gentleness, and zero judgment as we collaborate on your therapeutic goals. My practice is primarily psychodynamic, while incorporating elements of cognitive and behavioral therapies as needed to assist in restructuring self-defeating patterns. An emphasis on the value of cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion is at the core of my philosophy.
Utilizing a strengths-based, person-centered approach, I come from the belief that you are the expert in your own life and you have the capacity to handle the problems you face. I integrate elements of mindfulness, helping you to observe your inner experience without judgment.
I have an extensive background in teaching Transcendental Meditation and in the arts, and have worked with adults and children from a wide range of racial, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. I practice from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens. I’m particularly sensitive to the needs and experiences of BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and gender-diverse individuals.
