I am a licensed mental health counselor with a diverse background working with children, adolescents, and families. The foundation of therapy is building a strong therapeutic relationship, which from my experience is essential when working with youth. I have an eclectic approach utilizing the treatment which best fits each person and family.
I believe by using a positive and strength based approach with those I work with empowers them to make changes in their lives. Acceptance of the things we can change and things we can not. Building self worth can also impact the changes we want to make.
My past experiences of working in different children's mental health programs through out Rhode Island gives me a unique perspective on engaging children, adolescents and families in treatment.
