Helping children and teens navigate emotional and social challenges is my passion. I work with children and teens, ages 4-19, providing therapy to address emotional regulation, peer relationships, self esteem, social skills, and coping strategies. Using a strengths-based approach, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of each client. I utilize play therapy with children and cognitive behavioral therapy with teens to facilitate the development of coping strategies and practical life skills. My aim is to guide both children and parents toward a better understanding of each other and increased well-being for the entire family.
I am able to build rapport quickly with children and teens by tailoring sessions to their unique needs and interests. This helps make therapy an enjoyable experience as well as hastens the therapeutic process. As examples, I play Jenga and color with a 10 yo, talk Shakespeare and video games with a 17 yo, play soccer with a 14 yo, and UNO with most.
