I work with clients who are athletes or other high achievers who are struggling with stress or balance in their lives. Many of my clients generally function well but need to work through a relationship issue, or want to learn to better manage anxiety. Many of my clients are also working through identity issues related to gender or sexuality, faith crisis work, motherhood, or being defined by their sports performance (i.e. Who am I besides someone who is really good at my sport?). An unhealthy emphasis on perfectionism when it comes to body image, performance, or religion is a common issue I help clients work through.
Relational therapy is a specialty of mine. I help many teen clients and their parents learn how to navigate tough issues together. Often, I help adult clients improve communication and boundary setting skills with their own parents. I also do couples counseling with an expertise in mixed-faith marriages, faith crises, and navigating religious differences.
In addition to being a great therapist, I believe in good customer service. I run my own private practice and I will personally respond promptly to your emails or calls. (Email is best!) I have openings now! To learn more about me and my practice, click on the link to my website underneath my profile picture at the top of this page.
