I enjoy working with adults experiencing a range of mental and behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, behavioral problems, relationship problems, grief and loss, and abuse. Especially during this time of uncertainty, I am here to help you find ways to cope, alleviate symptoms that get in the way, and experience healthy and more satisfying connections.
I work with clients collaboratively to explore emotional patterns, interpersonal relationships, and how past experiences inform the present to help clients achieve their goals. I will also incorporate education and skill building to help expand tolerance for emotional experiences, increase understanding, and reinforce new ways of being and relating.
I draw on neurobiology research, attachment theory, and object relations theory to guide my work with clients. While I work primarily from a relational psychodynamic approach, I may use techniques including somatic experiencing, EMDR, and mindfulness, along with psychoeducation to provide clients with skills, tools, and insights.
