About
I primarily work with adolescents and young adults, helping develop insight and coping skills to live a life in line with what they value most. I have experience assessing and treating a variety of issues and diagnoses doing work in community mental health, behavioral health hospitals, and high schools. Most of my experience involves providing therapy to individuals endorsing anxiety, disordered eating, mood disturbance, relationship issues, and burn out.
In my practice, I use a strength's based lens, drawing upon Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Mindfulness. Most importantly, I am a human who has experience in therapy myself. I feel this is just as important as the education I earned in school.
I firmly believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I know first-hand that reaching out for help can feel intimidating and scary, especially if this is your first time doing so. I also know that it can feel extremely relieving. Either way, I am confident in my ability to make clients feel at ease & safe. I look forward to working together!
