I have served hundreds of families over the years and have developed a specialty working with children (four and up), adolescents and young adults. I believe these are important formative years in a person's life and sometimes there are bumps along the way. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, school-refusal, grief and loss, sexual abuse, behavioral issues, dealing with divorce, and much more. I understand that each individual is different and thus treatment needs to be tailored to each person's needs and wants. I also enjoy working with a variety of adults and young couples.
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques such as: Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. I believe in using many different types of creative and hands-on outlets to help my clients express their feelings in a safe way, while also maybe having some laughs along the way!
I understand that starting the journey of therapy can be scary. I pride myself on creating a safe, warm, inviting and confidential environment for my clients to take their first steps towards healing and reaching their personal goals. One of my favorite sayings is "A year from now, you may wish you had started today."
