I believe that you already have the inner wisdom to know what you value and want in your life. In therapy, I will help you compassionately examine and understand patterns you have developed that no longer serve you. We can work together to curate a path forward in the direction of your personal values, strengths, and dreams. My approach involves first developing a contextual understanding of your life experiences, your values/dreams, and barriers you have encountered to feeling self-fulfillment. We will explore goals for therapy and I can provide my thoughts on how we might proceed. We can then co-create a therapy plan.
My competence involves significant training and practice in a range of therapy models including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Interpersonal Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Based therapies. I am a Level 2 iRest (c) practitioner which is a trauma-informed meditation practice.
Meeting with a stranger and sharing your experience of struggle can be very stressful. I think you will find that I am a good listener with a very compassionate heart along with extensive training and experience in psychological theory and practice. It would be my pleasure meet you for a free 15 minute call and see if it would be a good collaboration.
