Life can be hard. Life changes, grief, loss, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, even parenting, can be difficult. Sometimes there is a medical condition or chronic illness involved or are a caregiver for a loved one. As a parent, teacher, counselor and current psychiatric nursing student, I have experience with different chronic and acute medical health conditions, new diagnoses, emotional regulation, caregiver burnout, behaviors, special needs, neurodivergent and autism spectrum disorders. I specialize in DBT and CBT, while also using tools from IFS, polyvagal, solution-focused and person-centered approaches. I will work with you to create a plan that will best meet your needs and goals. This can include coping skills, thought awareness, engaging in mindfulness, and creating boundaries while having much needed support during times of distress.
I offer a safe space that is full of empathy, validation, and support without any judgment. I am here to listen and help you explore your emotions and thoughts, while working with you to reach your goals. I do have experience that is both lived and professional.
